Called Anterior Strip Crowns, these are commonly done in a Pediatric Dental Office. Unlike adult teeth fillings are not the choice in kids front teeth due to various reasons which include anatomy of the baby teeth. So the most common procedure is crowns or caps on kids front teeth. They are done with composite resins the same white material used for filling teeth. The advantages with these strip crowns are, when done well they look like natural teeth, rather than the metal backed crowns which look more like chiclets. The disadvantage is that they are not very strong, and when you bite on to something really hard like the consistency of ice or bone, or biting on toys, they will tend to fracture. This video below shows a general outlay of how Strip crowns are done.
